October 2026 Events at High Functions in Jamaica, Queens

October 2026 brings nine announced evenings to High Functions, the community and cowork event space inside Silk Road NYC at 166-30 Jamaica Ave, Jamaica NY 11432. Games open the month, creative Fridays carry it forward, and the 3rd Annual HalloW33D on October 30 closes the calendar. All nine October events begin at 6 PM.

The program is for 21+ with ID, with entry with a $20+ purchase per person. Nothing is consumed on site. The current events calendar carries the listings, while the High Functions space page explains the venue. These are October 2026 plans; the photographs and earlier events below belong to the space’s history.

Five Fridays, five different evenings

October 2 is Game Night. October 9 is Open Paint & Craft: Haunted Hues. October 16 is Scary-oke. October 23 is Pumpkin Carving, with pumpkins provided. October 30 is the 3rd Annual HalloW33D. The dates give the month a clear progression from shared games to making, singing and Halloween celebration.

That range has a documented background. High Functions announced a January 10, 2025 Game Night with board games, cards, video games, pool and ping pong. Its November 2025 High Functions Idol recap called that singing competition the first edition and announced a monthly continuation. Those earlier formats help explain why the current Friday calendar moves between activities instead of repeating one program every week.

Four Tuesdays with HISCORE League

The October Tuesday schedule starts with FIFA & NBA 2K on October 6, followed by UFC on October 13, Tekken 8 on October 20, and the Mortal Kombat & Mario Kart Costume Party on October 27. The calendar identifies brackets and a monthly leaderboard. Match settings, controller arrangements and check-in instructions should come from the host for each date.

HISCORE’s Tuesday series was announced in February 2025, with a February 18 launch and Tekken, Mortal Kombat and Super Smash Bros Ultimate in the lineup. By July 2025, the venue was advertising a dedicated Tekken 7 Throwdown. The league’s August schedule then announced its first Tekken 8 bracket for August 19. October’s rotation continues a documented progression across games and editions.

Halloween has a local history

The October 2024 calendar named Trick or Treat Yo Self for October 25. High Functions’ subsequent recap thanked the event’s supporters, and another post celebrated the costumes. A partner’s October 29, 2025 recap used the title 2nd Annual HALLOW33D: A Night to Remember, describing a mummy contest and costumed guests.

Creative events sit alongside that annual celebration. A pumpkin-carving recap posted October 22, 2024 named Kay. Canvas in the Clouds returned with K. Diazz for a metallic painting edition in April 2025 and a What Do You Meme edition that June. Those records connect Halloween making to a broader creative program.

Choosing an October visit

The HISCORE guide covers the Tuesday rotation. The creative Fridays article follows painting, karaoke and carving, while the HalloW33D story traces the annual gathering. The Friday Game Night guide offers another starting point.

Silk Road NYC’s store hours are Sun–Wed 10 AM–9 PM and Thu–Sat 10 AM–10 PM. Event start times are listed separately. The event-space history connects the recurring programs, and the legacy page gives the wider store context. Silk Road NYC operates under license OCM-CAURD-24-000062.
