Friday Game Night at High Functions in Jamaica, Queens
October 2 starts a month of Friday gatherings in the community event space inside Silk Road NYC.
Game Night opens October at High Functions on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 6 PM. The community and cowork event space sits inside Silk Road NYC at 166-30 Jamaica Ave, Jamaica NY 11432. It begins a month that also includes painting, karaoke, pumpkin carving and the third annual HalloW33D.
Entry is 21+ with ID, with entry with a $20+ purchase per person. Nothing is consumed on site. The current calendar identifies the evening as Game Night. The venue’s earlier announcements show the range that name has covered, while the host’s current information determines which games and arrangements apply on October 2.
Cards, boards, screens and tables
High Functions’ January 10, 2025 Game Night announcement listed board games, card games, video games, pool and ping pong. Rather than organizing the whole night around one title, the invitation put several kinds of play together. Its 6 PM start also gave the event a clear place in the Friday program.
A NYC Vibe Tribe recap of March 7, 2025 described Uno and What Do You Meme alongside other board games, pool, video games and ping pong. That partner account supplies a record of the evening’s activities, with its own authorship and media credit. It does not establish that every future Game Night offers the same selection.
The June 2025 High Functions calendar included Cheech & Pong, a ping pong tournament on June 20, followed by Game Night on June 27. By March 6, 2026, the venue was advertising a combined Ping Pong Tournament & Game Night, starting at 6 PM. The recurring theme was shared play, with some nights giving a specific game a larger role.
Friday games within a changing program
April 2026’s calendar opened with UNO No Mercy on April 3 and marked an April 24 Bingo night as new. May’s program included another ping pong tournament and a May 15 Game Night with Hofstra’s Cannabis Law Society. A St. John’s Cannabis Law Society post also invited its community to that May 15 gathering with Hofstra, marking the end of the school year.
The August 2026 schedule placed Game Night first, followed by a movie night, karaoke and open painting or crafts across the remaining Fridays. That monthly sequence shows why Friday visitors should check the date rather than assume the same activity repeats every week.
A Halloween variation
High Functions posted The Great Chill-O-Ween Game Night announcement on October 29, 2025. The inspected flyer gives October 31 at 6 PM. The announcement and its seasonal title establish a Halloween variation on Game Night; the posting date should not be mistaken for the scheduled date.
This year, October 2 carries the straightforward Game Night listing. Halloween costumes and a Mortal Kombat/Mario Kart double bracket appear separately on the October 27 HISCORE schedule. The league guide explains that Tuesday program and its history. Friday’s listing does not publish a competitive bracket or league scoring system.
Planning the evening
Groups can compare the creative Friday dates and HalloW33D with Game Night through the October overview. Game availability, table arrangements and any sign-up process should be confirmed through the current listing or host.
The High Functions history connects games to the space’s other programs. Store hours are Sun–Wed 10 AM–9 PM and Thu–Sat 10 AM–10 PM. The October 2 event starts at 6 PM. Silk Road NYC’s license is OCM-CAURD-24-000062.
