Cold cure, fresh press, badder and solventless hash — on the shelf at 166-30 Jamaica Avenue, with same-day pickup and delivery across Queens.
Shop Rosin & Hash See the Dab BarSilk Road NYC carries one of the deepest solventless selections in the borough. Current shelf:
Stock moves. The live menu is the real-time answer, and it shows exactly what is in the case right now.
Rosin is cannabis oil pressed out of the plant with nothing but ice, water, heat and pressure. No butane, no propane, no chemical wash, nothing to purge afterwards. The plant is washed in ice water to separate the resin heads, that hash is dried, and then it is pressed between heated plates until the oil runs out.
That is the whole process. It is why solventless costs more and why the flavour survives: what you taste is the plant, not what a lab added back in.
Two finishes from the same starting material, and the difference is time and temperature after the press.
Fresh press is rosin used as it comes off the plates — loose, often translucent, at its brightest and most volatile. Cold cure is rosin jarred and held at a low temperature for days, letting it buckle and change texture into something creamier and more stable, with the terpenes settling into a rounder, heavier profile. Neither is better. Cold cure keeps longer and is easier to handle; fresh press is louder on the nose the day it is made.
Jaunty and Olio both run cold cure on our shelf, which is why you will see it on the label.
Customers mix these up constantly, and the price gaps make sense once you know.
Live rosin — solventless, pressed. Live resin — extracted with a hydrocarbon solvent that is then purged; it can be excellent, and it is a different process. Distillate — stripped to near-pure THC, so the plant’s own aroma is gone and flavour is usually added back afterwards. That is why a distillate cart costs a fraction of a gram of cold cure.
You can buy the best rosin in New York and destroy it in two seconds. Quartz off a torch sits north of 900°F, and every terpene is gone before the dab lands. Take the same gram at a controlled low temperature and you get citrus, gas, cake — whatever the plant was carrying.
That is why we stock the measurement side too: Dab Rite PRO, GO and Original thermometers, Octave terp timers, and Disorderly Conduction e-nails from $300 to $1,200. Full breakdown on the dab bar. Bring your rig in and a budtender will dial the temperature in with you.
Ask at the counter about pairing glass or hardware with a rosin pickup — current bundles are posted on the menu as they run.
Where can I buy rosin near me in Queens? Silk Road NYC, 166-30 Jamaica Avenue, Jamaica NY 11432 — a licensed New York dispensary a few minutes from Jamaica Center–Parsons/Archer (E, J, Z). We also deliver rosin across Queens the same day.
How much does live rosin cost? On our shelf, live rosin runs $60–$70 per gram, traditional hash $50, and wax budder, crumble or sugar $30. Solventless costs more than solvent-extracted because the yield is lower and the input flower has to be good enough to survive the process.
What is cold cure rosin? Rosin jarred and held at a low temperature for several days after pressing, which changes its texture to something creamier and more stable and rounds out the terpene profile. It keeps longer than fresh press and is easier to handle on a dab tool.
What is the difference between live rosin and live resin? Live rosin is solventless — pressed with ice, water, heat and pressure. Live resin is extracted using a hydrocarbon solvent that is purged afterwards. Different process, different price, both legitimate.
Do you deliver rosin in Queens? Yes — same-day delivery across all seven of our zones, free in Jamaica on orders over $75. See delivery zones and fees.
We are bringing our own limited small-batch rosin and hash to the shelf — pressed in small runs, carried by only a handful of stores. If you want first word when it lands, ask a budtender to flag you, or follow @silkroadnyc1.0.
