The First Free Community Event Space at a Queens Dispensary
Silk Road NYC opened in February 2024 with a room built for the neighborhood, not just a counter. It was the first community event space at any dispensary in Queens and it is still the only one. It is free: no cover charge, no tickets, no rental fee for the artists, leagues and groups who use it. This store exists because of the community, so the room belongs to it.
No cover at the door, no ticketed events, no rental fee for community use. Because the room is inside a licensed dispensary, you must be 21 or older with ID, and lounge seating is with a purchase. That is the entire cost. No chain in Queens offers this, and none of them offered it first.
Use it for your own thing
Community groups, artists, leagues and neighbors have run nights here. If you have an idea for the room, ask for the owner at the counter or call (347) 233-3879. We say yes more often than you would expect.
