This is the cheapest meaningful upgrade in the whole store. A carb cap covers the banger after the dab drops in, trapping heat and lowering the pressure inside so the concentrate vaporises at a lower temperature — which is where the flavour lives. Without one, a low-temperature dab mostly just sits there and then burns.
Directional means the airflow can be aimed: rotate the cap and you push the oil around the bucket instead of letting it pool in one spot, so it all vaporises rather than leaving a ring behind.
