Dispensary Near Sutphin Blvd & Jamaica Station | Silk Road NYC

Jamaica Station, at Sutphin Blvd and Archer Ave, is where the LIRR, AirTrain JFK and the E, J and Z at Sutphin Blvd–Archer Av–JFK all come together. If you step out of it looking for a licensed dispensary, Silk Road NYC is at 166-30 Jamaica Ave, about 0.9 miles east. It is one straight avenue, roughly 20 minutes on foot.

I am Sohan Bashar, the owner. A lot of our customers pass through this station: LIRR commuters on the way home to Nassau, people coming off shifts at JFK, travelers who just landed. This is the route I give all of them.

The walk from Jamaica Station (about 20 minutes, 0.9 mi)

  1. Come out on Archer Ave at Sutphin Blvd. LIRR riders, AirTrain riders and the E, J and Z at Sutphin Blvd–Archer Av all use this exit.
  2. Walk north one block on Sutphin Blvd to Jamaica Ave.
  3. Turn right and head east on Jamaica Ave. Stay on the south side of the street.
  4. Keep going for about 15 minutes. Rufus King Park is on your left early on, then you pass Parsons Blvd, 160th St, Guy R. Brewer Blvd and 165th St.
  5. Cross Merrick Blvd. Silk Road NYC is on your right, before 168th St.

Look for the pink neon Silk Road sign and the Licensed Recreational Cannabis Dispensary sign on the south side of the avenue. The state's verification sign is by our door. The walking map from Sutphin Blvd shows the same route on one screen. If you are ever turned around, call the store at 347-233-3879 and we will talk you in.

If you would rather not walk it

  • Bus: any eastbound bus on Archer Ave stops at Archer Ave and 165th St, a short walk from the door. That includes the Q4, Q5, Q42, Q83, Q84, Q85, Q86, Q87 and Q89.
  • Subway, one stop: ride the E, J or Z one stop east to Jamaica Center–Parsons/Archer, use the Archer Ave and 160th St exit, and walk about 11 minutes east on Jamaica Ave. It saves your legs more than your time.
  • Car: navigate to 166-30 Jamaica Ave, Jamaica NY 11432. Street parking on the side streets off Jamaica Ave is metered, and delivery is often faster than parking downtown.
  • Delivery: skip the trip entirely. See below.

For LIRR commuters

Order on the train. Choose pickup on the live menu and most orders are ready in about 15 minutes, so the bag is usually packed by the time you walk over. Show your ID at the counter, pay, and head back for your train.

At the counter we take cash, debit, credit card and Bitcoin, or you can pay online at checkout. If you live out on the island, the Long Island post explains why so many commuters stop here on the way home. Delivery to Nassau addresses costs more than inside Queens; your exact fee shows on the delivery page.

What travels well on a commute

Most people coming through Jamaica Station want something small that is ready to go. At the end of October, that part of our shelf looked like this:

  • Pre-roll packs and singles from Jeeter, Claybourne Co., Stone Road and PUFF. Pre-roll menu.
  • All-in-one vapes and 510 carts from turn, Fernway and Jaunty. An all-in-one needs no separate battery. Vape menu.
  • Drinks and tea from ayrloom and Harney Brothers, for people who would rather not smoke at all.
  • Gummies from Off Hours and Jaunty. Start with one piece and give it time before you take another. Edibles menu.
  • Gear like RAW and OCB papers and Clipper lighters, so you do not need a second stop.

Brands rotate as batches sell through, so the live menu is the list to trust. Keep everything sealed in the bag it came in until you get home.

For AirTrain riders and JFK travelers

From any JFK terminal, the AirTrain to Jamaica takes about ten minutes. Follow the signs down to Sutphin Blvd and Archer Ave, the same street exit as the LIRR, and make the walk above.

One rule matters more than anything else here: cannabis cannot go through TSA screening or cross state lines, even between two legal states. Buy in New York, keep it in New York, and leave it out of your bags when you fly.

If you are staying near the airport, hotel delivery is usually easier than the trip. Hotels on the 11434 side of the airport are in our $1 zone on orders of $50 or more. Addresses in 11430 use central Queens pricing, $5 with a $75 minimum. The person at the door has to be the person on the order, 21 or older, with matching ID. More in the JFK guide and closest dispensary to JFK.

Delivery along Sutphin Blvd, and the full fee list

If you live or work on Sutphin Blvd, delivery is simpler than the walk. Most Sutphin addresses, from the courthouse blocks down into South Jamaica, fall in 11432 to 11436, our first zone. Here is every zone:

  • Zone 1, Jamaica ZIPs 11432, 11433, 11434, 11435 and 11436: $1 fee, $50 minimum. Usually 20 to 30 minutes from dispatch.
  • Zone 2, central Queens: $5 fee, $75 minimum.
  • Zone 3, farther out: $10 fee, $150 minimum.
  • Zone 4, farther still: $15 fee, $200 minimum.

Addresses past the fourth zone cost more again. Put your ZIP into the delivery page to see your exact fee and minimum; checkout confirms it from your address before you pay. Every delivery, in every zone, includes FREE live GPS tracking on the tracker: you see where your order is and can follow the driver on the map until it reaches your door.

First time at a licensed dispensary

  • ID, every time. Every customer is 21 or older, with a valid, unexpired government photo ID: driver's license, state ID or passport. We check it at the door and again at the counter, and the driver checks it at your door. Out-of-state and foreign IDs are fine.
  • Paying. Cash, debit, credit card or Bitcoin at the counter, or pay online when you check out. Bitcoin works at the register only; here is how. For delivery, pay online at checkout, or with cash or debit at the door.
  • What you are buying. Everything on our shelf is New York licensed product, tested by a state-licensed lab. Each package carries New York's universal cannabis symbol and a Metrc QR code from the state's tracking system. Ask the counter for the lab results on anything you buy.

Only buy inside

People outside the stations and along Jamaica Ave sometimes stop shoppers and promise better or cheaper weed. Silk Road sells only inside our store at 166-30 Jamaica Ave and through our own delivery. Anyone selling on the street is not us, and what they sell has not been tested. Why buy licensed. Before you buy anywhere, look the store up on the state list at cannabis.ny.gov/dispensary-location-verification. Ours is license OCM-CAURD-24-000062.

When to come

Google lists us at 10 AM to 9 PM Sunday to Wednesday and 10 AM to 10 PM Thursday to Saturday. Hours may change soon, so check today's hours on Google or call 347-233-3879 before a late trip. Rush hour on Friday is our busiest stretch, so ordering ahead from the train saves you the most time then.
